Dr. Kavita Aiyer is the Head of Biologics/Vaccines, Senior Director RA CMC at TEVA.
Dr. Kavita Aiyer is a consummate Global Regulatory Affairs – CMC expert with >17 years of healthcare industry experience leading life cycle management for diverse modalities spanning biologics, complex biologics, combination products, vaccines and novel platform like mRNA. Prior to her career in Regulatory Affairs CMC, she led vaccines manufacturing, process development, establishment of GMP facilities, technology transfer, internship program and performed site audits. She is a certified lean six sigma black belt and has championed improvement initiatives through employment of Kaizen, Six Sigma and Lean principles. Kavita has held progressive leadership roles thus bringing multiple products to global markets and is viewed as an industry expert for “Analytical Comparability’. She is a member of industry consortium, BioPhorum; has delivered numerous conference talks and continues to publish position papers in collaboration with industry experts focusing on emerging regulations and guidance documents, and innovative regulatory strategies covering product development, registration and post-approval changes. She is a CASSS Associate Director, serves on the CASSS organizing committee and BPI’s editorial board. Kavita graduated with a Ph.D in Biotechnology from Anna University, India and pursued here post-doctoral research at University of Minnesota focusing on antibody engineering and synthetic biology prior to joining Healthcare industry.
