Tasneem is the Head of International Recognition at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). In this role, she oversees the strategy and operational activities of the International Recognition Procedure and leads the agency’s international collaborations with regulatory authorities worldwide to enhance global access to medicines.
Tasneem has extensive experience in global regulatory strategy, previously worked for a leading biopharmaceutical company, where she was responsible for the strategic geographic expansion of the company’s innovative drug portfolio across more than 100 markets. Her work spanned the UK, EU, Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Balkans, leveraging appropriate registration pathways and accelerated reliance routes to facilitate market entry.
Tasneem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham and a Master’s in Health Management from City, University of London. Beyond her professional commitments, she is passionate about supporting children’s healthcare and volunteers on weekends at Great Ormond Street Hospital, as a play therapist. She also contributes to Over the Wall, a charity that facilitates camps for children facing serious health challenges.
