Pujita Vaidya has over 12 years of experience in regulatory science and policy, and a leader in advancing patient-focused drug development throughout the medical product lifecycle. Pujita Vaidya serves as a Regulatory Science and Policy Director at Sanofi, working to develop, advocate for, and implement Sanofi positions on regulatory policies, partnering with cross-functional colleagues across Sanofi to advance strategic regulatory policy plans, as well as engaging with regulatory authorities, industry, patient advocates, professional associations, and other stakeholders. Previously, she has held positions at Novartis as a U.S. Patient Engagement Director and Amgen as a Global Regulatory and R&D Policy Director.
Before joining Industry, Pujita had over a 7-year tenure at FDA where she served as the CDER's expert to advise FDA leadership, lead initiatives, and provide strategic, regulatory, programmatic, and policy assistance to facilitate the incorporation of patient input into regulatory decision making (Patient-Focused Drug Development Program); developed and implemented CDER’s Benefit-Risk Framework; and actively engaged in international harmonization efforts through ICH.
Pujita earned her MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her BA in Biochemistry from Wheaton College.
