The EU AI Act represents a pivotal development in artificial intelligence regulation, establishing comprehensive oversight of AI technologies. As the first legislation of its kind globally, it aims to ensure the safe, transparent, and ethical deployment of AI, with far-reaching implications beyond the European Union. Effective from August 1, 2024, the EU AI Act introduces a phased enforcement schedule, making it crucial for global enterprises, to understand and comply with its provisions.
In the session we will discuss the high-level breakdown of the EU AI Act, focusing on regulatory objectives and key actors, laying the groundwork required for a holistic understanding of the act’s provisions and its implementation.
We will explore the EU AI Act’s provisions concerning the implementation with regulatory strategy using a pilot case study. This would include risks and challenges.
Overall, we will explore the EU AI Act’s provisions concerning the implementation of regulatory sandboxes ( with examples of tools, templates etc that would assist in implementation of the Act) .
